Congress has effectively passed a new 5-Year EB-5 Regional Center Program under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022. While there are many positive changes to what is effectively a new EB-5 program, the 'Reduced" investment is now $800,000 for projects that qualify as located within a Targeted Employment Area (TEA). Additionally certain TEA projects now offer investors the potential for separate set-aside visas,  not subject to the delays that some countries are currently facing, and in certain cases, priority processing.

The investment requirements for an investor or an investor family have been decreased from $1.8 million to $1.050 million. Projects that can qualify as within a targeted employment area (TEA) or certain defined rural areas, in effect are offered a further  $250,000 discount and are eligible for the reduced investment currently back to $800,000 per EB-5 family.  For information, Call us anytime at 941-346-1295.

The definitions for high unemployment TEAs have been tightened while rural area TEAs remain unchanged from prior definitions. In the meantime the EB-5 industry and its stakeholders are engaged in extensive dialogue mandated  by the lawmakers to try to reduce processing lead times and to clarify some of the requirements and conditions in the new legislation in an effort  to ensure a healthy future for the EB-5 Green Card program, and attractive benefits for both investors and for projects.
